Hangly exists for friendly, voluntary and safe real-life meetups. These rules apply to everyone, without exceptions.
Do not pressure people, accept a refusal calmly, and do not move the conversation to other channels without the other person’s consent.
Hold first meetups in busy, public places. Tell someone close to you where you are going and with whom, and keep your own way home.
Arrive on time or cancel in advance if plans change. Repeated no-shows affect the reliability signal on your profile and may limit access to new events.
Harassment, discrimination of any kind, threats and hate speech are unacceptable and lead to account suspension once a report is reviewed.
Use the report and block actions inside the app if behaviour is unsafe, abusive or suspicious. Our moderation team reviews every report. In an emergency that threatens safety, contact local emergency services — the app does not replace them.
